This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer in the United States. This role offers the opportunity to design, develop, and maintain a next-generation, cloud-native, high-performance platform that connects healthcare providers, patients, pharmacies, payers, and pharmaceutical companies in real time. You will work on scalable, resilient, and highly available systems with a focus on reliability, performance, and automation. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, contribution to architectural decisions, and mentorship for junior developers. You will help implement advanced observability, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks to ensure optimal system performance. This is an ideal role for someone passionate about cloud-native applications, distributed systems, and solving complex, high-throughput problems in a mission-critical environment. Accountabilities Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable Java-based microservices and integration solutions. Implement cloud-native solutions on AWS with auto-scaling, fault tolerance, high availability, and self-healing capabilities. Integrate with major EHR platforms using APIs, HL7, FHIR, web services, and other healthcare integration technologies. Build and maintain event-driven architectures using message brokers like Kafka for reliable inter-service communication. Collaborate with DevOps to develop CI/CD pipelines, automating deployment, testing, and monitoring workflows. Design and implement AI-powered automation frameworks to accelerate development cycles and regression testing. Monitor, diagnose, and resolve performance issues, ensuring high throughput, low latency, and system resilience. Enforce secure coding practices, participate in security audits, and conduct code reviews while mentoring team members. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience with strong knowledge of Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud. 3+ years of experience developing cloud-native applications on AWS, familiar with S3, Lambda, RDS, EKS/ECS, and related services. 3+ years of experience with distributed messaging systems such as Apache Kafka and event streaming architectures. Experience building and integrating high-performance, distributed systems with fault tolerance and scalability. Proficiency in RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and relational/NoSQL database design and performance optimization. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI or Jenkins and automated deployment pipelines. Knowledge of application security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data protection. Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and solution-oriented skills with ability to work independently in agile environments. Competitive salary range: $140,000 - $160,000 USD, with eligibility for discretionary performance-based bonus.
