This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer in the United States. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining a next-generation microschool management platform. You will have the opportunity to work across the full stack, shipping features that directly impact students, educators, and families. This role involves shaping the technical foundation of a fast-growing platform, collaborating closely with product and design teams, and owning projects from architecture through deployment. You will ensure systems are scalable, performant, and reliable, while exploring innovative ways to integrate AI into the user experience. Your work will influence engineering practices, architecture decisions, and the overall culture of the team. This is a fully remote position open to candidates across the United States. Accountabilities · Design, develop, and maintain features across web and mobile applications. · Architect and maintain APIs, backend services, and data models that power the platform. · Own projects end-to-end, including planning, implementation, testing, and deployment. · Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability. · Write high-quality, maintainable code with comprehensive test coverage. · Participate in code reviews, mentor teammates, and promote best engineering practices. · Collaborate with product and design teams to translate roadmaps into reliable, user-facing features. · Explore and implement opportunities to leverage AI technologies within the platform. · 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in startups or high-growth environments. · Proficient with Ruby on Rails or similar backend frameworks. · Experienced in building and scaling consumer-grade web or mobile applications. · Strong skills in optimizing performance and debugging complex production systems. · Familiarity with AI technologies and interest in applying them to product features. · Comfortable working in fast-paced, iterative development cycles. · Collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams. · Knowledge of backend systems, relational databases (PostgreSQL), caching systems (Redis), and modern web/mobile development frameworks. · Competitive salary and potential for equity in a high-growth company. · Fully remote work with flexibility to live anywhere in the United States. · Opportunity to work on a product that directly impacts educators, students, and families. · Collaborative, supportive, and fast-moving engineering culture. · Professional growth opportunities, including mentorship and exposure to full-stack and AI technologies. · Access to modern development tools and resources for continuous learning.
