This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer in the United States. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable software that powers digital healthcare solutions. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality, reliable systems for both member-facing mobile applications and provider-facing web tools. This role emphasizes hands-on development, technical leadership, and mentorship, while providing opportunities to integrate AI-driven solutions into complex software workflows. You will influence the architecture, contribute to innovative technical decisions, and ensure systems meet high standards for performance, security, and reliability. Accountabilities In this role, you will: Design, implement, and maintain scalable back-end and front-end systems for digital health applications. Develop high-quality web application code, including unit and integration tests, while adhering to best practices for architecture, system design, and coding standards. Dedicate the majority of time to hands-on coding, while mentoring and guiding junior engineers. Lead large projects, anticipate infrastructure and architectural needs, and propose innovative AI-driven solutions. Collaborate with AI experts to integrate AI tools into existing systems and workflows. Participate in on-call rotation, triaging and resolving reliability issues to ensure system stability. Influence technical decisions and advocate for the adoption of new technologies and approaches across teams. Contribute to continuous improvement in software engineering practices and team productivity. Candidates should have: 7+ years of experience writing readable, tested, and efficient code. Strong proficiency with Ruby or Python. Experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Vue. Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and designing scalable, maintainable, and secure APIs. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices. Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and containerization/deployment tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience leveraging AI tools (LLMs, GenAI, Cursor, Copilot) in development workflows. Understanding of logging, monitoring, and telemetry best practices. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a focus on solving problems and mentoring others. Curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and processes. Preferred Skills: Experience integrating AI into production systems. Knowledge of scalable software architecture and system design patterns. Experience in healthcare or digital health platforms is a plus.
