This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer III in the United States. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer III to contribute to the development of robust, scalable, and secure software solutions in a fast-paced banking and fintech environment. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership, enabling you to mentor junior engineers, participate in architectural decisions, and ensure high-quality software delivery. You will collaborate closely with product, compliance, and business teams to translate requirements into reliable systems while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory standards. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic, cross-functional environments, has strong experience with cloud-native platforms, and demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence. Accountabilities Deliver high-quality, well-tested code to solve complex business and technical challenges. Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making to maintain strong engineering standards. Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers on coding practices, architecture, and problem-solving techniques. Lead by example in operational excellence, including monitoring, testing, deployment, and incident response. Collaborate with product management and stakeholders to translate business requirements into clear technical specifications. Ensure compliance with banking regulations (e.g., BSA, OFAC) and internal security policies in all software development activities. Promote knowledge sharing, documentation, and maintainability within the team. Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices, tools, and processes. 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with ownership of complex systems in production. Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (Node.js/TypeScript preferred; functional programming a plus). Strong experience with cloud-native platforms (Microsoft Azure preferred; AWS/GCP also valuable) and CI/CD pipelines. Solid understanding of software architecture, scalable system design, and distributed systems. Experience in regulated industries such as fintech, banking, or healthcare, with strong knowledge of security and compliance. Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering fundamentals. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make pragmatic, risk-aware technical decisions. Effective communication skills for collaboration across product, analytics, compliance, and business functions. Leadership qualities with demonstrated success mentoring engineers and guiding technical initiatives. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Certification and/or additional certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect) desirable.
