We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on managing and evolving large-scale cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work on the compute and networking foundation that powers enterprise-scale data platforms, including orchestration of hundreds of Kubernetes clusters. This role involves designing resilient, secure, and scalable systems, building APIs for self-service capabilities, and collaborating across multi-cloud environments. You will have the opportunity to tackle complex infrastructure challenges, contribute to mission-critical features, and help scale operations from hundreds to thousands of clusters. This position is fully remote, with occasional collaboration across distributed teams, and offers exposure to cutting-edge cloud, networking, and container technologies. Accountabilities As a Senior Software Engineer, Dataplane Management, you will: · Own and develop key endpoints and features of the platform, enabling advanced networking and self-service capabilities for enterprise customers. · Build and maintain scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure that supports multi-tenant workloads across cloud providers. · Evolve fleet orchestration systems to safely deploy and roll back changes across hundreds of clusters, supporting future scale to thousands. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement features such as workload identity, disaster recovery, cloud resource management, and private network access. · Ensure operational excellence, reliability, and security of platform workloads while minimizing toil and alert fatigue. · Participate in on-call rotations to support production infrastructure, proactively addressing issues and maintaining system health. · Continuously evaluate and improve platform processes, tooling, and performance to optimize efficiency and cost. The ideal candidate will have: · Proven experience building and operating SaaS or large-scale internal compute infrastructure. · Strong software engineering skills, preferably in Golang or similar languages, with an openness to learning new technologies. · Production experience with container orchestration systems, ideally Kubernetes. · Knowledge of secure, isolated multi-tenant architectures and cloud networking primitives across AWS, Azure, and GCP. · Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mentality, and a proactive approach to addressing operational issues. · Excellent communication skills for collaboration with globally distributed teams. · Willingness to participate in periodic on-call rotations. Preferred Qualifications: · Experience administering Kubernetes programmatically in multiple clouds. · Familiarity with designing resilient, scalable, and secure SaaS or PaaS systems. · Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, or Chronosphere. · Knowledge of Apache Airflow and cloud-native networking tools (Calico, Cilium, Istio). · Passion for optimizing infrastructure, reducing costs, and improving operational efficiency.
