This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Back End in United States. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems that power a consumer-facing fintech platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, performant, and innovative solutions, while contributing to architecture decisions and backend strategy. This position allows you to work remotely while influencing critical components of the platform, leveraging modern microservice architectures, cloud infrastructure, and AI-powered tools. You will play a key role in shaping engineering practices, mentoring peers, and ensuring high-quality customer experiences across services. Accountabilities: Design, implement, and maintain Python-based microservices powering the platform. Make architecture and API design decisions to ensure scalability and reliability. Deploy, monitor, and support production systems as part of an on-call rotation. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to deliver seamless customer experiences. Apply modern DevOps practices, leveraging AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines to maintain system health. Drive best practices in code review, iterative delivery, automated testing, and performance monitoring. Leverage AI-powered development tools and LLMs to enhance productivity and efficiency. 5+ years of experience delivering high-quality software projects from design through production. Strong proficiency in Python and backend development using microservice architectures. Experience with AWS services, Docker, and Kubernetes orchestration. Familiarity with modern software engineering practices, including logging, monitoring, automated testing, and continuous deployment. Experience working with AI-powered developer tools and LLMs to optimize engineering workflows. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills in a distributed team environment. Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. Preferred / Additional Skills: Experience integrating or optimizing LLM-powered workflows. Familiarity with fintech, financial services, real estate, or home lending technology. Experience with frontend frameworks, API design, and observability tools like Datadog. Competitive annual compensation: $160,000–$190,000 USD. Remote working environment with flexibility to work from offices near Seattle, Detroit, or New York if desired.
