This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Android in Omada Health. As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Android, you will design, build, and maintain mobile applications that empower users to achieve meaningful health outcomes. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver robust, scalable, and secure solutions for members and healthcare providers. This role emphasizes hands-on coding, technical leadership, and mentorship, with opportunities to influence architecture, integrate AI-driven features, and shape the future of digital health applications. You will operate in a collaborative, innovative environment where technical excellence and user impact are equally prioritized. Accountabilities In this role, you will: Develop, maintain, and enhance Android mobile applications to deliver world-class digital healthcare experiences. Dedicate 80–90% of your time to hands-on coding while mentoring junior engineers and providing technical leadership. Lead complex projects, anticipating infrastructure and architectural needs, and proposing innovative AI solutions. Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers to implement technical solutions that meet business and user needs. Ensure high-quality code through unit and integration testing, adhering to best practices for architecture, design, and coding standards. Research, adopt, and advocate for new technologies to continuously improve the development workflow and system performance. Participate in full agile development lifecycle activities, from conception through deployment, and resolve technical challenges effectively. Candidates should have: 5+ years of experience in Android application development. Strong proficiency in Kotlin, with experience in its advanced features and best practices. Experience designing scalable and maintainable app architectures. Knowledge of multi-threading, asynchronous programming, and Android frameworks. Familiarity with design patterns such as MVVM and MVC, and experience implementing them in production apps. Proficiency in Android unit and UI testing frameworks. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI. Understanding of the app submission process, app signing, and review guidelines. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Curiosity and a solution-oriented mindset, with a willingness to learn new technologies and approaches. Preferred Skills: Experience with Android Health Connect and Jetpack Compose. Exposure to regulated industries, including healthcare. Cross-platform development experience, including Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) or hybrid platforms. Experience integrating AI solutions into mobile applications.
