This role offers the opportunity to build, enhance, and support software solutions within a data-intensive healthcare technology environment. You will work across application development, software maintenance, performance optimization, and production support. The position combines hands-on engineering with collaboration across senior developers, distributed development teams, business stakeholders, and project leaders. You will contribute to reliable, scalable applications that process large healthcare datasets and support critical business operations. As a senior contributor, you will help uphold engineering standards while mentoring other developers and sharing technical expertise. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and delivering high-quality software in a collaborative environment. \n Accountabilities Support, maintain, and enhance high-quality software modules and application components across the product portfolio. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues originating from internal or external customers, ensuring timely and effective solutions. Document application specifications, architecture, design, features, and operational procedures before production releases. Develop and implement enhancements that improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and availability. Apply established technology standards and software engineering best practices throughout the development lifecycle. Execute appropriate phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, contributing to continuous improvement in development and delivery processes. Communicate technical challenges, operational issues, risks, and recommendations clearly to engineering and business leadership. Work closely with senior developers, distributed development teams, business owners, project management, and other internal stakeholders to deliver effective solutions. Explore new technologies and innovative approaches that can improve existing systems, processes, efficiency, and business outcomes. Continuously expand technical knowledge and contribute to the evaluation and integration of relevant technologies into the product environment. Mentor other developers, share technical knowledge, and contribute to a strong engineering culture. Participate in special projects and perform additional responsibilities as required. Ensure engineering work is completed accurately, reliably, and in accordance with applicable standards and business requirements. Requirements Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. 4–5 years of professional software engineering or industry experience. At least 2 years of experience working with healthcare data. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with large and complex datasets. 4–5 years of experience working with relational databases and database-driven applications. 4–5 years of experience developing or supporting ETL processes. Strong experience optimizing and tuning SQL or Oracle queries, stored procedures, and triggers. Advanced understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design principles. 4–5 years of experience with Java frameworks or the .NET Framework. Knowledge of one or more enterprise scheduling tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Excellent attention to detail when working with code, data, documentation, and deliverables. Strong quantitative, analytical, and data-interpretation skills. Ability to learn new technologies, tools, and engineering practices quickly. Adaptability and resilience when managing changing priorities and delivering under pressure. High standards of integrity and responsible handling of sensitive data. Ability to maintain a dedicated, secure workspace and reliable high-speed internet connection while working remotely. Benefits Base compensation ranging from $111,000 to $150,000 per year.
