This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead the development of scalable, cloud-based solutions for a high-traffic event management platform. Accountabilities As a Senior Software Developer, you will: Design, develop, and optimize new features that serve a large user base with high reliability and performance. Lead technical architecture decisions to ensure platform scalability, maintainability, and robustness. Collaborate with product management, design, sales, and customer success teams to deliver user-focused solutions. Mentor junior and mid-level developers, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of growth. Analyze and enhance code performance, addressing optimization challenges and improving system efficiency. Build and maintain integrations with third-party systems to ensure seamless functionality and data exchange. Promote Agile methodologies to maintain organized and efficient development processes. Develop analytics features and modern workflow tools to deliver actionable insights to users. Candidates should have: 6+ years (ideally 8+) of experience in cloud-based software development with expertise in Ruby on Rails, React, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Docker, and distributed systems. Strong computer science fundamentals, including programming, data structures, algorithms, and system architecture. Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor team members, and collaborate across cross-functional teams. Experience writing clean, testable code with proficiency in unit testing for backend and frontend. Comfort navigating large codebases, following conventions, and implementing improvements. Excellent communication skills, able to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
