You will collaborate with IT leaders, faculty, and administrative teams to assess system architecture, scope integrations, and demonstrate solutions that drive institutional success. You will work closely with cross-functional internal teams, support pre-sales activities, and participate in shaping the strategic adoption of software solutions. The role offers a dynamic, collaborative environment with opportunities for professional growth and influence across the education sector. \n Accountabilities: Serve as the primary technical consultant during the full sales cycle, engaging senior IT stakeholders and understanding institutional goals. Analyze existing system architectures, including SIS, LMS, ERP systems, and other core platforms, to identify integration requirements. Deliver tailored technical demonstrations and presentations to a range of stakeholders, highlighting value and feasibility. Partner with the sales team to respond to RFPs and RFIs, ensuring accurate and comprehensive technical proposals. Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with technical clients to foster long-term partnerships. Stay up-to-date on higher education technology trends, including cloud services, security protocols, and competitive solutions. Collaborate with internal teams to align technical strategies with business and client needs. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or solutions architecture, preferably in the education technology sector. Deep understanding of higher education enterprise systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Banner, Colleague, Workday). Experience with integration methods such as APIs (REST, SOAP), SSO protocols (SAML, OAuth), and data formats (JSON, XML). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills, able to translate technical concepts into business value. Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders, manage complex technical discussions, and guide decision-making. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment. Willingness to travel to client sites and industry events as needed. Preferred: Direct experience in a university IT department or EDU-focused consulting, with knowledge of student data privacy regulations (e.g., FERPA).
