This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Program Manager in the United States. We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead multi-team software delivery efforts for high-profile digital initiatives that provide essential services to users. In this role, you will coordinate up to four cross-functional teams, manage interdependent workstreams, and serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders. You will ensure timely delivery while identifying risks, resolving impediments, and aligning team efforts with organizational priorities. This position requires balancing Agile team practices with client-facing project management processes, providing clear communication both to internal teams and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate thrives in complex, fast-paced environments, values collaboration, and is passionate about creating meaningful impact through technology. This is a short-term contract with high visibility and significant influence on project outcomes. Accountabilities Act as the primary customer point of contact for multi-team initiatives, providing proactive updates on progress, risks, and impediments. Maintain and review a risk register with delivery teams and stakeholders, ensuring timely escalation and mitigation of challenges. Coordinate multiple interdependent workstreams, providing input into project plans and high-level Gantt charts to support stakeholder visibility. Ensure teams are adequately staffed and capable of delivering objectives, advocating for necessary adjustments when required. Foster trust-based relationships with stakeholders while exemplifying a culture of transparency, collaboration, and effectiveness. Support Agile teams in creating and maintaining team agreements, norms, and feedback loops to continuously improve delivery. Identify and remove obstacles to team progress, ensuring consistent, high-quality outcomes within aggressive timelines. 10+ years of experience as a Program Manager, Delivery Manager, or Project Manager. 4+ years leading large-scale, multi-team software delivery efforts. Deep understanding of Agile principles, with proven experience coaching teams in Agile practices. Demonstrated ability to independently remove impediments and maintain alignment across teams and stakeholders. Strong experience managing complex stakeholder relationships and facilitating collaboration across multiple teams or organizations. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. Must have lived and worked in the United States for 3 of the last 5 years. Preferred: Experience working with government agencies, particularly the Department of Veterans Affairs or similar civic tech projects.
