Manage operational rhythm and support senior leadership to drive cross-functional initiatives with clear ownership.
7-10 years experience in program management or related roles supporting senior executives with strong organizational and communication skills.
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Program Manager-Games based in the United States. This senior individual contributor role serves as the operational backbone of a growing Games Division and a key partner to its General Manager. You will run the division’s operating rhythm, coordinate executive meetings, and turn information from multiple departments into clear, decision-ready insights. The role spans Production, Engineering, Art, Game Direction, Design, Marketing, Publishing, QA, Product, and Player Experience. You will track decisions, actions, risks, OKRs, and key metrics while ensuring important issues reach leadership early. Success requires exceptional judgment, organizational discipline, executive communication, and the confidence to challenge priorities when necessary. This is a high-trust role in a fast-moving creative environment where your work will directly support how complex game projects are planned and delivered. \n Accountabilities: As Senior Program Manager-Games, you will own the operating cadence of the Games Division and provide hands-on operational support to the General Manager. You will ensure leadership has the right information, decisions are tracked, meetings are purposeful, and cross-functional initiatives move forward with clear ownership. Own the General Manager’s recurring meeting cadence, including leadership syncs, milestone reviews, greenlight reviews, committee touchpoints, and department-lead one-on-ones. Build agendas for leadership meetings, confirming objectives, attendees, pre-reads, and decision points in advance. Run recurring operational meetings on behalf of the General Manager when appropriate. Capture decisions, action items, and owners during meetings, publish notes promptly, and track commitments through completion. Protect the General Manager’s calendar by redirecting unnecessary meetings, consolidating duplicative sessions, and preserving focus time for strategic work. Maintain meeting-discipline standards and associated performance metrics across the division. Build and maintain a single source of truth for division status, consolidating weekly updates from Production, Engineering, Art, Game Direction, Marketing/Publishing, QA, Product, and Player Experience. Translate complex, multi-source information into concise, decision-ready summaries for senior leadership. Maintain division-level OKR tracking, update key results regularly, flag at-risk objectives, and prepare quarterly review materials. Coordinate the Games Division’s contributions to quarterly business reviews, leadership offsites, and board-level reporting. Prepare briefing materials for executive meetings, partner discussions, platform-holder engagements, vendors, and other external commitments. Maintain a running log of open decisions, documenting context, options, recommendations, and timelines for resolution. Track actions assigned through leadership meetings, follow up with owners, escalate delays, and close the loop with leadership. Maintain a division-level risk register and proactively surface emerging risks. Coordinate cross-functional follow-ups when decisions or initiatives span multiple departments. Execute special operating projects at the General Manager’s direction, including division communications, greenlight materials, hiring-plan support, and organizational initiatives. Coordinate division-wide initiatives without a clear functional owner, such as governance rollouts, decision-rights documentation, and new operating processes. Partner with the broader executive office to align Games Division activities with company-wide priorities. Continuously identify and improve inefficiencies in meetings, reporting, decision-making, and operational processes. Maintain documentation covering operating cadence, decision rights, and key processes. Partner with functional leaders to ensure departmental tracking and reporting feeds effectively into the division-level operating view. Requirements: The ideal candidate is an experienced program management, business operations, or Chief of Staff professional who has already operated at a senior level in a fast-moving environment. You should combine exceptional organizational instincts with independent judgment, executive communication skills, and the ability to turn ambiguity into structured action. 7–10 years of experience in program management, Chief of Staff, business operations, or a comparable role involving executive support and operational ownership. Demonstrated experience exercising independent judgment on behalf of a senior executive, including appropriately declining or redirecting requests from senior stakeholders. Experience supporting a VP-level or higher executive in a fast-paced operating environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex, multi-source situations into concise executive-ready summaries. Strong organizational instincts and the ability to independently build systems for tracking work, decisions, risks, and commitments. Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, taking loosely defined requests, structuring them, and producing actionable outcomes. Ability to constructively challenge senior leaders regarding priorities, calendars, scope, and operational decisions. Strong judgment, discretion, follow-through, and accountability. Proficiency with modern operating and collaboration tools, including Confluence, Jira, Slack, Google Workspace, project tracking platforms, and AI tools. Ability to work effectively with remote and distributed teams across multiple time zones. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in video games, interactive entertainment, film/TV production, or another creative-development environment involving complex, multidisciplinary products. Familiarity with game development production processes, including milestones, gates, greenlight reviews, and post-launch live operations. Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones. Previous experience working in or around C-level offices or in a Chief of Staff capacity. Benefits: Fully remote position within the United States, with preference for candidates able to work in U.S. time zones aligned with the Games General Manager and broader division. Base salary of $100,000–$130,000 USD annually. Profit-sharing program for eligible U.S.-based full-time employees. Medical, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) matching. FSA/HSA options. Paid time off. Sick time. Paid holidays. Parental leave. Opportunity to work closely with executive leadership on high-impact operational priorities. Opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of complex game projects within a growing creative organization. \n How Jobgether works: We use an AI-powered matching process to ensure your application is reviewed quickly, objectively, and fairly against the role's core requirements.
