In this role, you will lead the modernization of financial operations and reporting systems that support behavioral healthcare services. You will be responsible for shaping product strategy, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with federal and state financial regulations. The position requires strategic thinking, technical fluency, and the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable product plans. Accountabilities: · Own the product vision, roadmap, and execution strategy for behavioral healthcare financial operations and reporting. · Lead modernization efforts of legacy systems and integrate automated workflows to enhance operational efficiency. · Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, audit requirements, and internal controls. · Partner with finance, compliance, and legal teams to maintain high-quality reporting outputs. · Manage cross-functional agile teams, facilitating tradeoff discussions and prioritizing initiatives in alignment with strategic goals. · Drive organizational change by translating strategic goals into actionable product plans and influencing executive decisions. · Maintain effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders across technical, financial, and policy teams. · 7+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years managing financial systems in regulated environments. · Experience with public sector finance, healthcare delivery, or Medi-Cal systems. · Proven success modernizing legacy systems and implementing automation. · Strong understanding of financial compliance, audit standards, and reporting workflows. · Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments. · Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical, with strong executive presence. · Ability to operate strategically while diving deep into technical problem-solving. · Preferred: experience with bond administration, federal draw processes, or CheckWrite systems; familiarity with California state financial systems (FI$CAL, SCO); knowledge of Medi-Cal funding structures. · Competitive full-time salary with potential for long-term engagement. · Fully remote role with flexibility, requiring occasional travel to Sacramento for meetings. · Opportunity to work on high-impact projects shaping California’s behavioral healthcare financial operations. · Collaborative environment with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders. · Professional growth through leading modernization initiatives and complex system integrations.
