This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Machine Learning Platform Engineer: EVENT in United States. This role offers the opportunity to build and maintain foundational machine learning infrastructure that powers high-impact applications at scale. You will work on designing and optimizing feature engineering pipelines, distributed training workflows, and low-latency ML inference systems. The position requires strong software engineering expertise, a deep understanding of distributed systems, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while raising engineering standards across the team. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve model performance, data quality, and overall platform reliability. The role provides a chance to make tangible contributions to a cutting-edge ML platform in a mission-driven, high-performance environment. Accountabilities: · Understand the needs of machine learning engineers and identify gaps in the platform’s capabilities. · Design, implement, and optimize high-performance, low-latency ML inference infrastructure and streaming pipelines. · Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of high-quality software development and technical growth. · Evangelize best practices in distributed training, feature engineering, and model deployment. · Build tooling to monitor data quality and detect performance degradation impacting models. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve platform reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency. · 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with proven expertise in distributed systems. · Strong coding skills and high standards for software quality. · Experience in designing and implementing low-latency, high-availability systems. · Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex technical requirements clearly. · Mentorship experience and ability to guide engineers to higher levels of technical proficiency. · Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt across varied technologies. · Nice to have: experience with ML models and systems, platform engineering, or developer tooling. · Familiarity with Python, Golang, Ray, Tecton, Spark, Airflow, Databricks, Snowflake, or DynamoDB is a plus. · Competitive salary range: $186,065—$218,900 USD, plus bonus and equity eligibility. · Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage. · Remote-first environment with flexible work arrangements, plus in-person offsites for collaboration. · Opportunities to work with cutting-edge machine learning technologies at scale. · Professional development, mentoring, and growth opportunities. · Inclusive workplace culture focused on collaboration, high performance, and innovation.
