This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a mission-critical application used across a large federal healthcare system. You will be responsible for full lifecycle development of a secure, scalable, and cloud-hosted platform, contributing to modernization efforts while ensuring compliance with federal standards. The position requires expertise across both front-end and back-end technologies, cloud-native development, and Agile practices. You will collaborate with DevSecOps teams, participate in Agile ceremonies, and help design solutions that impact thousands of users. Accountabilities Design, develop, and maintain full-stack application components using ASP.NET MVC, C#, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and SQL Server. Refactor legacy code and contribute to cloud-based modernization initiatives. Build responsive and accessible user interfaces compliant with Section 508 standards. Develop secure APIs and backend services to support credentialing workflows and integration with external systems. Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code practices. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release coordination. Support system documentation, troubleshooting, and adherence to federal security and privacy standards. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. 8+ years of full-stack development experience, including both front-end and back-end technologies. Proficiency in ASP.NET MVC, C#, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and SQL Server. Experience with cloud-native development and deployment in Azure or similar environments. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Git, and Jenkins. Understanding of secure coding practices and federal compliance requirements. U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Additional qualifications preferred: healthcare IT experience, knowledge of VA systems (e.g., VetPro, VistA), Azure services (App Services, Key Vault, Application Insights), automated testing frameworks, and relevant certifications (Microsoft Azure Developer, SAFe Practitioner).
