You will work closely with product managers, backend engineers, and engineering leaders to deliver reliable, high-performance applications using React, TypeScript, and GraphQL. As a technical lead, you will influence frontend architecture, establish engineering standards, mentor teammates, and champion accessibility, testing, and code quality. You will also explore and promote AI-assisted and agentic coding tools to improve development efficiency without compromising security or maintainability. This remote opportunity offers a collaborative engineering environment where innovation, ownership, continuous improvement, and measurable product outcomes are highly valued. \n Accountabilities Frontend technical leadership: Serve as the frontend technical lead for the DataLab product, helping guide the Mission Control team's engineering priorities and technical direction across the Western Hemisphere. Application development: Design, develop, and maintain complex, scalable, and performant web interfaces using React and TypeScript for enterprise financial applications. Frontend architecture: Guide architectural decisions, component design, reusable UI patterns, and implementation standards to improve consistency, scalability, and maintainability. Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with product managers, backend engineers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions, contributing wherever necessary to achieve the best product outcomes. Engineering quality: Promote high standards for code quality, security, accessibility, performance, and maintainability throughout the development lifecycle. Testing and reliability: Contribute to unit, component, and end-to-end testing practices using tools such as Jest, Testing Library, Playwright, and Storybook. AI-assisted development: Actively use and help improve AI-assisted and agentic coding workflows, contributing to the development environment and encouraging effective adoption across the team. Technical mentorship and continuous improvement: Conduct code reviews, share knowledge, research emerging technologies, prototype solutions, and mentor engineers to strengthen frontend engineering practices and developer experience. Technology and tooling: Contribute to the evolution of a modern frontend stack that includes React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Nx monorepo tooling, Material UI, containerized development environments, and automated preview environments. Requirements: At least 10 years of professional software engineering experience. At least 5 years of hands-on experience developing applications with React. At least 5 years of hands-on experience using TypeScript in production environments. Demonstrated experience leading frontend technical decisions, defining UI architecture standards, mentoring engineers, and guiding implementation practices. Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture, reusable component design, accessibility, web performance, testing strategies, and developer experience. Experience collaborating across product and engineering functions to solve complex business problems and deliver high-quality software. Demonstrated ability to use agentic coding tools productively, such as Claude, Codex, or Copilot, while maintaining rigorous standards for correctness, security, maintainability, and collaboration. Solid full-stack engineering experience, including familiarity with Node.js or other backend technologies. Experience with .NET is relevant to the existing technology environment. Familiarity with GraphQL APIs and modern development workflows is beneficial. Experience with testing tools such as Jest, Testing Library, Playwright, and Storybook is an advantage. Strong communication, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills, with the ability to balance delivery speed against long-term code quality. A proactive mindset, a commitment to continuous learning, and the ability to challenge existing approaches constructively. Preferred: Experience in fintech or financial technology environments. Benefits: Annual base salary: $180,000–$200,000, with the final offer determined by relevant skills and experience. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
