As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping the organization’s data platform and infrastructure to enable data-driven decision-making across all teams. You will collaborate with Product, Clinical, Sales, and Operations teams to integrate highly fragmented healthcare data and create robust, scalable solutions. Your work will influence both internal analytics and external products, while helping to define best practices and technical standards. This role offers the opportunity to design and implement complex data pipelines, mentor other engineers, and contribute to building a culture of technical excellence. Accountabilities Architect and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance data infrastructure. Lead the design and implementation of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration from multiple sources. Collaborate with Product and Clinical teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Create and maintain data engineering best practices, standards, and documentation. Assemble, transform, and optimize large and complex datasets to meet functional and non-functional requirements. Support analytics and data science teams with tools and processes that enable advanced insights. Mentor and guide other engineers to foster a strong data engineering culture. 7+ years of hands-on data engineering experience with a graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field. Proven experience building large-scale data pipelines, including data lakes, message queuing, and stream processing. Strong SQL and data modeling skills; experience with both structured and unstructured data. Expertise in scalable data transformation processes and implementing data governance practices. Proficiency in Python, Golang, Java, or Scala; experience with big data tools such as Apache Spark and Kafka. Familiarity with orchestration tools (Apache Airflow, Apache Iceberg) and cloud-based data warehouse solutions. Ability to analyze complex datasets, perform root cause analysis, and develop actionable technical solutions. Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills; mission-driven mindset. Healthcare experience is a plus but not required.
