This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer in the United States. We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to help build and operate a next-generation enterprise analytics stack. This role will focus on designing scalable data pipelines, creating governed semantic models, and enabling analytics across business functions. You will work with Snowflake, cloud services, and modern analytics tools to ensure high performance, reliability, and security. The position combines hands-on engineering with strategic thinking, helping drive adoption of cutting-edge analytics practices while continuously improving data workflows. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, monitor query performance, and introduce innovations such as AI-powered analytics and real-time data pipelines. This role is ideal for someone passionate about shaping the future of enterprise data and analytics at scale. Accountabilities Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines in Snowflake and associated cloud services, ensuring efficiency and reliability. Migrate existing pipelines from platforms like Dataiku to modern cloud-native workflows, reducing complexity and cost. Create and maintain semantic views to provide a governed data layer for analytics across Finance, Operations, and other enterprise functions. Implement and enforce role-based access control (RBAC) frameworks, integrating with Active Directory and ensuring compliance with enterprise governance standards. Deliver clean, high-performance datasets for analytics dashboards, NLP interfaces, and embedded analytics solutions. Continuously monitor, tune, and optimize query performance to balance speed, cost, and reliability. Explore and adopt emerging technologies, including AI/ML-powered analytics, semantic layers, and real-time pipelines. Automate testing, monitoring, and deployment processes to maintain a modern and efficient data stack. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake, including SQL, OpenFlow, Tasks/Streams, performance tuning, and semantic views. Strong cloud experience, particularly with AWS services such as S3, IAM, Glue, and Lambda. Solid data modeling expertise, including dimensional modeling, facts, dimensions, and semantic design. Proven ETL/ELT engineering experience building and optimizing large-scale data pipelines. Strong programming skills in SQL and Python. Experience implementing governance, security, and cataloging standards, including AD/LDAP integration and RBAC. Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail. Preferred: experience migrating Power BI models to Snowflake/Sigma, familiarity with Sigma features (Ask Sigma, Write-Back, Embedded Analytics), exposure to Dataiku, and interest in AI/ML-powered analytics and NLP-based BI.
