This role provides the opportunity to design, build, and maintain advanced data infrastructure and pipelines within a dynamic, fast-paced digital technology environment. The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for developing data warehouses, data lakes, and scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and accessible data for analytics and business intelligence. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including analytics, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making. The position emphasizes cloud-based platforms, data modeling, and automation while applying best practices in SQL, Python, and modern ETL tools. Accountabilities · Design, implement, and maintain robust data warehouses and data lakes with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability. · Build, optimize, and maintain complex ETL/ELT pipelines using industry-leading tools and cloud platforms such as Snowflake, AWS Glue, and DBT. · Develop and maintain high-quality SQL scripts, stored procedures, and Python-based solutions for data integration, transformation, and analysis. · Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams to define requirements, ensure data integrity, and enable actionable insights. · Apply best practices for data modeling, architecture, and performance tuning for high-volume data pipelines. · Participate in Agile development processes and support CI/CD practices using GitLab or equivalent version control and deployment workflows. · Continuously evaluate new technologies and methods to optimize and modernize data workflows. · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; relevant experience may substitute for formal education. · Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL/ELT pipelines. · Strong expertise in SQL (including PLSQL, T-SQL) and proficiency in Python or other scripting languages. · Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS Redshift, and AWS Glue. · Familiarity with data modeling concepts, relational and dimensional modeling, and high-volume ETL processes. · Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools like IBM DataStage, Informatica, SAP BODS, or equivalent. · Knowledge of version control (GitLab), CI/CD pipelines, SDLC, and Agile methodologies. · Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. · Experience in the financial industry is a plus. · Full-time remote work within the United States. · Competitive hourly rate of $70–$72. · Opportunity to work with modern data platforms and cloud technologies. · Collaborative and innovative work environment focused on professional growth. · Exposure to high-scale digital transformation projects with industry-leading clients.
