This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer in the United States. This role provides the opportunity to design, build, and maintain advanced data infrastructure and pipelines within a dynamic, fast-paced digital technology environment. The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for developing data warehouses, data lakes, and scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and accessible data for analytics and business intelligence. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including analytics, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making. The position emphasizes cloud-based platforms, data modeling, and automation while applying best practices in SQL, Python, and modern ETL tools. This role directly impacts the organization’s ability to harness data for competitive advantage and operational excellence. Accountabilities · Design, implement, and maintain robust data warehouses and data lakes with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability. · Build, optimize, and maintain complex ETL/ELT pipelines using industry-leading tools and cloud platforms such as Snowflake, AWS Glue, and DBT. · Develop and maintain high-quality SQL scripts, stored procedures, and Python-based solutions for data integration, transformation, and analysis. · Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams to define requirements, ensure data integrity, and enable actionable insights. · Apply best practices for data modeling, architecture, and performance tuning for high-volume data pipelines. · Participate in Agile development processes and support CI/CD practices using GitLab or equivalent version control and deployment workflows. · Continuously evaluate new technologies and methods to optimize and modernize data workflows. · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; relevant experience may substitute for formal education. · Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL/ELT pipelines. · Strong expertise in SQL (including PLSQL, T-SQL) and proficiency in Python or other scripting languages. · Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS Redshift, and AWS Glue. · Familiarity with data modeling concepts, relational and dimensional modeling, and high-volume ETL processes. · Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools like IBM DataStage, Informatica, SAP BODS, or equivalent. · Knowledge of version control (GitLab), CI/CD pipelines, SDLC, and Agile methodologies. · Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. · Experience in the financial industry is a plus. · Full-time remote work within the United States. · Competitive hourly rate of $70–$72. · Opportunity to work with modern data platforms and cloud technologies. · Collaborative and innovative work environment focused on professional growth. · Exposure to high-scale digital transformation projects with industry-leading clients.
