Accountabilities: The Senior Data Engineer will play a critical role in building and maintaining robust data platforms and pipelines: Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support cloud-based technical solutions. Develop, optimize, and maintain data pipelines using distributed data/computing tools, including Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, Kafka, and Hive. Work with programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, and SQL to deliver scalable solutions. Implement and manage NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) and RDBMS platforms. Conduct unit testing, code reviews, and performance tuning to ensure high-quality deliverables. Mentor team members, share knowledge, and contribute to the engineering community. Collaborate with product managers and design teams to deliver solutions that meet user needs and business objectives. Candidates should bring strong technical expertise in data engineering and cloud-based development: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of professional experience in application development. 1+ year of experience in big data technologies; 5+ years preferred. 2+ years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). 3+ years of experience with distributed data/computing tools and frameworks. 2+ years of experience with real-time data processing, NoSQL databases, and data warehousing (Databricks, Snowflake). Proficiency with UNIX/Linux systems, including shell scripting. Experience with Agile engineering practices and full-stack data solutions. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and collaborative skills; ability to communicate technical concepts clearly. Competitive remote salary range: $144,200 – $164,600 annually.
