This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer, Billing Platform in United States. This role offers the opportunity to shape and optimize a critical billing platform that directly supports partner integrations and customer operations. You will work with high-scale data pipelines, microservices, and distributed systems to ensure accurate, reliable, and secure data flows. The position involves collaboration across product, finance, accounting, AI, and operations teams to design, build, and maintain efficient systems for handling complex datasets. You will ensure data quality, scalability, and performance while implementing best practices in integration, monitoring, and documentation. Accountabilities: Design, develop, and maintain robust microservices using Java, Python, Spring Boot, APIs, and SQL/NoSQL databases. Build scalable data pipelines to support integration and transformation processes using tools like DBT, Workato, Rivery, and Snowflake. Ensure high performance, reliability, and security across all billing and data integration systems. Integrate third-party systems to expand platform capabilities and improve automation. Develop and implement data validation, monitoring strategies, and troubleshooting processes to maintain data integrity. Collaborate with onshore teams to align solutions with business requirements and standard operating procedures. Participate in scheduled operations, audits, and support activities to ensure smooth billing operations. Create and maintain technical documentation, including integration specifications, data flow diagrams, and data dictionaries. Contribute to the continuous improvement of data integration processes and methodologies. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred). 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, or related roles. Proficiency in Java, Python, and building high-scale distributed systems and microservices. Strong experience with SQL & NoSQL databases, data pipelines, and data integration tools. Knowledge of complex event processing, billing systems, or rules engines is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience collaborating cross-functionally. Familiarity with healthcare informatics, claims billing, and interoperability standards such as EDI X12, HL7v2/3, and FHIR is advantageous. Ability to work independently in a remote environment while aligning with distributed team processes.
