This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer - REMOTE. In this role, you will not only be engaged in building features but also in establishing the core foundation that supports every feature. As a significant contributor to our internal design system and accessibility programs, your work will directly impact the efficiency and user experience across our platform. You'll collaborate with a small, high-seniority team to innovate and push the boundaries of inclusive design and engineering practices. This role also demands a proactive approach in refining our tools and strategies to maintain the highest standards of accessibility, ultimately shaping the engineering organization for years to come. Accountabilities • Expand and maintain the Luna design system, focusing on high-quality, reusable component architecture. • Write clear and well-defined platform documentation to empower self-service support for other engineers. • Consult and advise internal product teams on Luna adoption and accessibility best practices. • Drive the department-wide A11Y program by refining accessibility standards and implementing high-impact remediations. • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams, navigating technical challenges with empathy. • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex software bugs at the platform level. • Leverage AI-driven tools and workflows to efficiently enhance development outcomes. Requirements • 5+ years of experience developing web-based applications. • Proven experience in enterprise-scale platforms and working within large codebases. • Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.2 standards and experience implementing accessible solutions. • Deep experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (preferably Ember, React, Angular, or Vue). • Expertise in advanced CSS techniques and accessible design patterns. • Proficiency with TypeScript and Node.js in building and consuming REST/JSON APIs. • Experience with writing maintainable software tests to ensure stability. • Familiarity with AI-based development tools to streamline processes.
