We are currently looking for a Project Manager - Workforce Development/Unemployment Insurance/Vocational Rehabilitation in Florida (USA). We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead and manage the implementation of workforce development, unemployment insurance, and vocational rehabilitation software solutions for state and regional clients. This role involves overseeing the full software development lifecycle, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet client needs. The ideal candidate will combine strong project management skills with technical understanding, business acumen, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail and delivering measurable impact. Occasional travel to the headquarters in Palm Harbor, Florida may be required. Accountabilities Create, maintain, and execute detailed IT project plans, including tasks, milestones, resources, and status updates. Coordinate with designers, engineers, QA, vendors, service providers, and clients to deliver project milestones on time. Oversee daily operational aspects of multiple projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and alignment with client expectations. Assist technical teams in specifying development tasks and quality assurance teams in creating test plans. Review team deliverables before client submission and apply project management methodology to enforce standards. Facilitate effective team and client communication, providing updates on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies. Deliver training sessions and support client onboarding, ensuring smooth adoption of workforce development and unemployment compensation solutions. 5+ years of project management experience, ideally within workforce development, unemployment insurance, or vocational rehabilitation programs. Strong knowledge of employment and training programs, including federal reporting requirements and systems such as Wagner-Peyser, Workforce Investment Act, or Trade Adjustment Assistance. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience. PMP, CAPM, SCM certification or formal project management training is a plus. Proficiency in MS Office, project management tools, and relational databases with basic SQL query skills. Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and relationship management skills. Strong oral and written communication skills with high attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects, coordinate geographically distributed teams, and work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Knowledge of software development lifecycle and system design concepts, including Internet, intranet, extranet, and client/server architectures. Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.
