We are seeking a Project Manager Gas Operations to lead and oversee field operations and projects related to natural gas services. This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, workforce productivity, and safety compliance while maintaining high standards of customer service. You will manage multiple projects across the U.S., coordinating personnel, resources, and budgets to achieve business objectives. This position requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in dynamic environments and foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. Accountabilities As a Project Manager Gas Operations, you will: Lead and supervise field teams, ensuring the health, safety, and productivity of the workforce. Manage tools, equipment, vehicles, and inventory, maintaining compliance with operational and safety standards. Develop staff through coaching, mentoring, and onboarding, fostering high performance and employee retention. Coordinate multiple projects, monitor budgets, and implement strategies to meet departmental goals. Collaborate with management to establish policies, procedures, and forecasts while ensuring operational efficiency. Maintain customer relationships, address complaints, and train employees on conflict resolution and service quality. Conduct quality control audits, review performance metrics, and provide recommendations for staff development and process improvements. The ideal candidate will have: High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred). 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience and 3+ years in natural gas operations, including meter exchanges and relights. Ability to travel up to 70% of the time across U.S. project sites. Qualification or ability to become a proctor/evaluator for operator certifications in gas meter services. Strong leadership, time management, and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication skills and ability to professionally manage challenging customer interactions. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.). Preferred: 2+ years of management experience overseeing meter installation or utility operations. Experience in water, gas, or electric meter project management. Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and flexibility in daily routines.
