This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Product Safety Manager. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring regulatory compliance and product safety within the distribution industry. Your efforts will impact all aspects of the product lifecycle, from receiving to delivery, by developing and maintaining safety programs and compliance metrics. You will collaborate with various departments, providing hands-on leadership, guidance, and support to ensure that standards are met consistently. This is an excellent opportunity to influence and implement safety practices while contributing to the overall quality and success of our operations. \n Accountabilities Implement operational site programs and processes for receipt, storage, transportation, and disposal of food and consumable products to ensure customer safety and regulatory compliance. Develop and enhance Product/Food Safety & Compliance Operations programs for existing and emerging businesses. Write policies and standards for existing and emerging businesses; create and implement training programs for regulatory compliance execution. Conduct risk assessments and develop a roadmap for operational processes while analyzing regulatory impacts of business models. Enable scalable business solutions and work independently with Site and Regional Ops Leadership. Develop business metrics to track compliance and process effectiveness, identifying compliance trends. Continuously identify and communicate improvement opportunities. Provide 24x7 support to field operations regarding food safety and inventory systems. Lead the development and execution of the product safety and quality management system across all sites. Requirements Bachelor's degree in food science, Nutrition, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience managing Product/Food Safety, Compliance, and Quality in large-scale distribution, retail, or manufacturing. Knowledge of local, state, FDA, and USDA product safety regulations. Certified Professional-Food Safety, Registered Environmental Health Specialist, Sanitarian, or PCQI. Experience with HACCP plan development (basic and/or advanced HACCP training). Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and guide change. Ability to travel 30%-40% as required.
