This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Product Development Manager in California (USA). This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the creation and execution of innovative food and beverage products that delight customers and drive business growth. You will be responsible for guiding new product concepts from initial discovery through commercialization, using data-driven insights, market trends, and customer feedback to shape the product roadmap. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including operations, marketing, and external vendors, to ensure seamless product development and successful launches. Ideal candidates are creative, analytical, and skilled at translating customer needs into actionable product strategies while balancing innovation with operational feasibility. Being based in either the San Francisco Bay Area or Los Angeles allows for close connection to stores and direct observation of product impact. Accountabilities: Conduct product discovery by researching consumer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth. Develop and communicate a compelling product vision and strategy that aligns with organizational goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to assess feasibility, prioritize initiatives, and plan product launch timelines. Prepare and present product plans to gain alignment across the organization. Define and track performance metrics to measure product success and drive continuous improvement. Lead the development of product briefs, user stories, and acceptance criteria for new and existing products. Partner with operations and finance teams to ensure products are deployed efficiently and achieve business objectives. Manage relationships with external vendors and consultants to support product development initiatives. 2+ years of experience in product management or product development within the food & beverage or hospitality industry (CPG or retail). Experience leading product concepts from ideation through marketing and implementation. Experience working with third-party vendors and consultants to develop and deliver products. Ability to influence through data-driven insights and interpersonal skills while taking ownership and acting with initiative. Experience in national multi-unit food & beverage retail is a plus. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to manage complex projects. Ability to operate remotely while maintaining close collaboration with store operations and cross-functional teams. Competitive salary range: $125,000 to $150,000 (depending on experience and location).
