This role offers the opportunity to help scale a growing procurement organization within a fast-paced, technology-enabled operating environment. You will own purchasing activities across a portfolio of production materials and suppliers, helping ensure reliable supply and healthy inventory levels. The role combines hands-on procurement execution with inventory planning, supplier management, reporting, and process improvement. You will work closely with Materials Planning, Manufacturing, Operations, Finance, Logistics, and Accounts Payable teams to solve supply challenges. A key part of the position is building scalable processes, improving visibility, and reducing operational friction through better tools and automation. You will also mentor junior procurement professionals and contribute to stronger team standards and capabilities. This is an ideal opportunity for a procurement professional who enjoys ownership, analytical problem-solving, and measurable operational impact. \n Accountabilities Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for assigned commodities and suppliers, including creating, monitoring, and expediting purchase orders through an ERP system. Maintain consistent supplier communication around lead times, order confirmations, shortages, delivery issues, discrepancies, invoice concerns, and receiving exceptions. Monitor open purchase orders and take proactive action to ensure materials arrive on time and production requirements are met. Review inventory health, demand signals, forecasts, and reorder points to make purchasing decisions that balance service levels with inventory investment. Monitor supplier performance against lead-time and delivery expectations, identify supply risks, and support mitigation plans and continuous improvement initiatives. Develop strong supplier relationships and collaborate with vendors to improve responsiveness, delivery performance, and overall operational reliability. Create and maintain procurement SOPs, documentation, dashboards, and reporting that improve visibility and establish consistent ways of working. Identify opportunities to automate, simplify, and standardize procurement workflows while reducing manual effort and recurring operational issues. Partner with Manufacturing, Operations, Finance, Accounts Payable, Logistics, and Planning teams on inventory risks, supplier constraints, purchasing priorities, new product introductions, and material transitions. Mentor and train Procurement Agents and Buyers, support onboarding, share subject-matter expertise, and act as a resource for complex procurement questions and escalations. Contribute to cross-functional projects designed to improve supply chain performance, procurement efficiency, and operational scalability. Drive measurable improvements in purchase order cycle times, supplier responsiveness, inventory health, reporting, and procurement processes. Requirements 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, inventory planning, or a closely related function. Experience purchasing production materials within a manufacturing environment. Strong experience with ERP systems, with NetSuite experience preferred. Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, with the ability to analyze inventory data and build useful operational reports. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a practical approach to identifying risks and developing effective solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across procurement, operations, finance, planning, and supplier teams. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and respond effectively in a fast-paced, operationally demanding environment. Experience with demand planning or inventory planning is preferred. Experience creating SOPs, improving operational processes, or introducing automation is preferred. Experience mentoring or guiding team members is preferred. Knowledge of supplier performance metrics, procurement KPIs, and supply chain performance measurement is a plus. A proactive, ownership-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently and continuously improve processes and outcomes. Benefits Base salary: $77,875–$89,000 USD, with actual compensation determined by factors including location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
