In this role, you will have a significant impact on the development of high-performance software solutions that cater to the healthcare industry. You will lead design efforts, ensure adherence to quality standards, and drive innovation across teams. Collaborating with various stakeholders, you will also prioritize and facilitate the effective execution of engineering projects, all while mentoring junior team members. Lead the design and development of scalable and secure healthcare software systems. Design and implement solutions for healthcare transaction processing complying with industry standards. Communicate priorities and expectations to the team effectively. Take ownership of the quality of all team-delivered features. Promote experimentation and innovation by exploring new technologies. Act as the primary technical liaison for executive stakeholders. Identify and mitigate potential technical risks early in the development lifecycle. Collaborate with Product Managers and other stakeholders to define project scope. Provide guidance and mentorship to engineering teams. Stay updated on emerging healthcare technologies and trends. Requirements B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field. 8+ years of experience in software engineering within a software product company. Experience with architecting and delivering complex SaaS solutions. 5+ years in the healthcare industry with knowledge of FHIR and HL7 standards. Proficient in modern programming languages such as Java, C#, and Python. Solid understanding of both relational and NoSQL database systems. Proven leadership skills with mentoring experience. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices. Strong problem-solving skills with a record of delivering innovative solutions. Excellent communication skills for clear articulation of technical concepts. Experience with Mirth Connect is a plus. Willingness to adopt AI tools responsibly to enhance productivity.
