We are seeking a highly experienced engineer to lead the architecture and development of a cutting-edge Data Ingest Platform. This role offers the opportunity to design scalable, reliable systems that serve as the central gateway for all security data across multiple services. You will be instrumental in shaping the developer experience, building frameworks and APIs that empower engineers to work more effectively, and solving complex distributed systems and orchestration challenges. Accountabilities: As a Principal Software Engineer, your key responsibilities include: Leading the technical vision and architecture for the Data Ingest Platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency. Designing and building developer tools, frameworks, and APIs that enable integration engineers to succeed. Mentoring and guiding a team of engineers, driving technical excellence and fostering a collaborative culture. Writing high-quality, production-ready code for core platform components, setting standards for performance and maintainability. Partnering with product and engineering leaders to define strategic direction and roadmap for data ingestion and workflow orchestration. Solving complex problems in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and platform development at scale. Ensuring operational excellence with monitoring, testing, and continuous improvement of platform processes. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise and leadership experience: 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with hands-on coding experience. Expert-level experience with distributed systems, platform design, and workflow orchestration (Airflow, Prefect, or similar). Strong programming skills in Go and/or Python. Experience with cloud and data technologies (Google Cloud, AWS, BigQuery, Redshift, Pub/Sub, SQS, Kinesis), relational and key-value databases (Postgres, Redis). Proven ability to lead through influence, mentor senior engineers, and communicate complex technical ideas clearly. Passion for building platforms and tools that improve other engineers’ productivity. Empathy for end users (other developers) and commitment to delivering a world-class developer experience. Strong problem-solving skills and experience solving complex orchestration and scalability challenges. Competitive base salary ($163,300 – $236,800 USD) plus bonus eligibility and equity.
