This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Principal Product Manager, Data Platform & Sharing in the United States. The Principal Product Manager will lead the vision, development, and delivery of a robust data platform that enables scalable, secure, and high-performance data sharing across multiple business units and external partners. You will translate technical architecture into actionable product capabilities, owning end-to-end delivery while ensuring enterprise-grade standards. This role requires collaboration with engineering, data architecture, and security teams to make informed technical trade-offs and ensure reliable, observable, and compliant platform operations. You will engage with internal and external stakeholders to capture requirements, prioritize initiatives, and drive adoption through well-designed APIs and metadata-rich schemas. Accountabilities: Own the full lifecycle of the data platform, from concept to production, ensuring technical, security, and operational standards are met. Define system design, data models, and API specifications in collaboration with engineering and architecture teams. Translate architectural vision into prioritized, actionable backlogs and deliver iterative, high-quality releases. Establish SLAs, performance benchmarks, operational runbooks, and monitoring frameworks. Onboard internal data products to the platform, ensuring governance, performance, and compliance standards are maintained. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to capture requirements, validate integration patterns, and deliver high-quality API documentation. Continuously improve platform scalability, reliability, automation, and overall operational excellence. 8+ years of experience in technical product management, data platform development, software engineering, or data architecture roles. Strong expertise in data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake), distributed systems, data sharing technologies, and API design. Hands-on experience with data modeling, schema versioning, and governance in enterprise environments. Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, security controls, observability practices, and performance optimization. Proven track record of delivering secure, reliable, and performant platform capabilities. Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams to review designs, assess trade-offs, and resolve technical blockers. Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
