As a Principal Product Manager, you will lead the strategy, development, and optimization of a scalable billing and payments platform that powers financial transactions for global customers. You will collaborate closely with engineering, finance, operations, and customer service teams to design seamless, compliant, and efficient payment experiences. This role balances operational excellence with a customer-first approach, ensuring both business growth and end-user satisfaction. You will own the product roadmap, define multi-year strategies, and leverage data to make informed decisions, driving innovation in billing systems while maintaining accuracy, transparency, and compliance. Your work will directly impact customer trust, revenue, and the ability to scale into new markets. Accountabilities • Define and execute the vision and multi-year roadmap for the billing and payments platform, ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance. • Build intuitive, accurate, and transparent billing and payment processes that enhance the customer experience. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, operations, sales, and customer service, to align priorities and requirements. • Ensure global compliance with tax, regulatory, and audit standards across multiple geographies. • Optimize billing infrastructure to support new pricing models, subscription plans, promotions, and expansion into new markets. • Implement integrations with payment processors, tax engines, and other billing service providers to modernize the platform. • Leverage analytics to monitor metrics, identify trends, proactively address issues, and improve operational and customer outcomes. Requirements • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in billing, payments, or financial platforms. • Technical fluency, with the ability to work closely with engineering on APIs, system integrations, and data flows. • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder requirements across multiple functions. • Strong customer focus, advocating for end-user success and designing products that build trust and loyalty. • Excellent analytical skills and comfort working with large datasets to identify trends, diagnose problems, and drive decisions. • High bias for action, with the ability to remove blockers and drive results in a fast-paced environment. • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts into clear, actionable language. Bonus / Preferred Skills: • Experience with ERP systems, payment gateways, and tax compliance platforms. • Background in healthcare, dental, or other regulated industries. • Experience leading products for subscription-based or multi-market billing systems. Benefits • Competitive salary ranging from $202,100 - $245,000 USD, plus equity and bonus opportunities. • Full-time remote work across North America. • Comprehensive healthcare, dental, mental health support, parental planning resources, retirement savings options, and generous paid time off. • Opportunity to shape and scale critical financial infrastructure for a growing global platform. • Inclusive, diverse, and collaborative work environment that supports professional growth.
