Accountabilities As a Manager, Software Engineering, you will: · Take end-to-end ownership of team projects, ensuring alignment with product goals and delivery standards. · Mentor, coach, and guide engineers within your team, fostering growth, accountability, and technical excellence. · Collaborate with recruiting to attract top engineering talent and support interview, screening, and lead-generation activities. · Make major design and architecture decisions, ensuring best practices for software development and system performance. · Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers to provide clarity on technical direction. · Support agile practices and iterative development while balancing speed and high-quality product standards. · Occasionally contribute hands-on coding, code reviews, and technical problem-solving when needed. To succeed in this role, you should have: · 3+ years of experience managing small to medium software development teams in an agile environment. · 8+ years of experience in senior engineering roles, including designing APIs, abstractions, and developer-facing tools. · Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft .NET technology stack (C# / .NET, ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs) and SQL databases. · Experience with front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and familiarity with TypeScript and React. · Strong understanding of distributed architecture best practices and software performance monitoring. · Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical writing skills. · B.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. · Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical guidance as required.
