This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Machine Learning Engineer in the United States. This role offers a unique opportunity to design and implement AI-powered music and podcast recommendation experiences, bringing next-generation audio innovations to millions of users. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment alongside engineers, product managers, designers, and researchers, prototyping end-to-end AI solutions that leverage large language models (LLMs), recommender systems, and agent frameworks. You will contribute to shaping the future of audio experiences, exploring cutting-edge AI technologies, refining ML workflows, and ensuring high-quality software delivery. This position encourages curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning while providing exposure to state-of-the-art AI tools and real-world impact at scale. Accountabilities · Rapidly prototype, iterate, and ship AI-powered recommendation experiences for music and podcasts. · Explore and evaluate new models, tools, and frameworks, integrating AI innovations into production workflows. · Develop and fine-tune ML models, including LLMs, for autonomous and multi-step recommendation tasks. · Critically evaluate AI-generated code to ensure correctness, performance, and alignment with engineering best practices. · Collaborate cross-functionally with design, product, research, and engineering teams to bring new ideas from concept to launch. · Leverage AI coding assistants to accelerate development of full-stack prototypes. · Contribute to building team culture and mentorship around AI engineering best practices. · Hands-on experience with Python, Java, or Scala and modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. · Knowledge of machine learning fundamentals, with experience in fine-tuning and evaluating LLMs. · Familiarity with AI prototyping, prompt engineering, and integrating AI into multi-step workflows. · Experience building end-to-end solutions across the stack, from backend systems to user interactions. · Strong collaboration skills in interdisciplinary teams and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. · Self-motivated, creative, and enthusiastic about exploring new AI capabilities and technologies. · Formal education in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience is preferred. · Experience in music, audio, or recommendation systems is a plus. · Competitive base salary range: $138,250–$197,500 USD, plus equity. · Health insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, and six-month paid parental leave. · Monthly meal allowance and generous paid time off (23 days) plus 13 flexible holidays. · Paid sick leave and comprehensive benefits package. · Opportunities to work remotely within North America, collaborating in Eastern Standard Time. · Exposure to cutting-edge AI tools and innovative projects with large-scale impact.
