This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Machine Learning Engineer in Indiana (USA). As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will drive the development and deployment of large language model (LLM) frameworks to power diverse AI applications. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and prototyping to delivery and optimization of production-ready LLM solutions. Collaborating with a dynamic team, you will ensure that AI systems are scalable, performant, and reliable while staying at the forefront of generative AI innovations. This role blends hands-on engineering, research, and mentorship, providing the opportunity to influence technical strategy and accelerate AI adoption across applications. You will also champion best practices in software development, CI/CD, and code quality while fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. The position requires both deep technical expertise and a passion for applying AI to real-world challenges. Accountabilities: • Design, build, and scale foundational frameworks for large language model applications. • Implement and optimize LLMs such as GPT, Claude, LLama, and other generative AI models. • Apply software development best practices including CI/CD, functional/unit testing, and code reviews. • Maintain high-quality code, documentation, and system reliability across production environments. • Collaborate with the team to research, evaluate, and integrate new AI/ML technologies. • Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration. • Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and optimize system performance. • Develop and maintain cloud-based AI/ML infrastructure using tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and MLFlow. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. • 5+ years of industry experience in software development and deploying ML models in production. • Proficiency in Python; familiarity with additional programming languages is a plus. • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and ML frameworks. • Strong understanding of design patterns, data structures, and scalable software architecture. • Hands-on experience with LLMs, generative AI, and AI-first application development. • Excellent analytical, design, and debugging skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. • Strong communication and mentoring skills. • Competitive compensation and eligibility for performance-based bonuses. • Paid time off and parental leave. • Comprehensive health, life, and disability insurance options. • Remote-friendly work environment with flexibility. • Inclusive culture with diversity, equity, and employee resource groups. • Opportunities to work with cutting-edge AI technologies and collaborate with top-tier teams.
