This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a M365 Cloud Security Engineer- Remote in the United States. This role provides the opportunity to shape and secure modern Microsoft cloud environments for enterprise clients. You will assess security postures, design and implement Microsoft 365 and Azure security solutions, and guide organizations toward best practices. Working across a variety of clients and industries, you will advise on compliance, Zero Trust principles, and cloud security standards while implementing scalable, secure solutions. The position blends hands-on technical work with advisory responsibilities, requiring strong knowledge of Microsoft cloud services, identity management, and security frameworks. You will collaborate with client teams and internal experts, helping organizations safeguard data, optimize workflows, and mitigate risk. The role is fully remote, offering flexibility while enabling impact across multiple large-scale cloud environments. Accountabilities: · Evaluate client Microsoft 365 and Azure environments to assess security posture and identify risks. · Design, implement, and optimize cloud security solutions leveraging Microsoft 365, Azure, and associated services (Defender, Sentinel, Purview, Endpoint Manager, Teams, SharePoint, etc.). · Develop architectural recommendations, roadmaps, and technical documentation to guide security adoption. · Apply Zero Trust principles, cloud security frameworks (CSA CCM, CIS, NIST), and compliance standards to client engagements. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IAM, AppSec, GRC, and DFIR to integrate security solutions and processes. · Conduct security assessments and deliver clear findings and actionable recommendations. · Support identity lifecycle management, automation initiatives, and cloud platform governance. · 6+ years of IT experience with at least 4 years administering and supporting Azure/Office/M365 platforms (Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint, Windows 10, Outlook). · 2+ years of experience with M365 security suite capabilities: Defender for Cloud Apps, Conditional Access, Microsoft XDR, Compliance Center, DLP, Insider Threat Management, MFA, PIP, PIM, and related tools. · 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure security tools including Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, WAF, APIM, Azure Policy, etc. · Strong understanding of Microsoft Cloud services across identity, security, data, application, infrastructure, and collaboration. · Experience with lifecycle management and process automation. · Proficiency with Azure Resource Manager, PowerShell, KQL, or Terraform is preferred. · Microsoft certification required or to be obtained within 3 months of hire (Microsoft 365 Security Administrator or Azure Security Engineer Associate). · Excellent client-facing, written, and verbal communication skills. · Ability to manage multiple client engagements, deliver technical solutions, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. · Competitive salary and performance-based rewards. · Comprehensive group medical, dental, and vision insurance. · Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and 12 corporate holidays. · Remote-first work environment with U.S. based flexibility; some travel may be required. · Mobile phone and home internet allowance. · Retirement plan eligibility after 2 months of employment. · Pet benefit options and additional wellness programs.
