This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Lead Data Engineer in the United States. The Lead Data Engineer will oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of data solutions supporting advertising technology, digital marketing, and analytics workflows. This role is responsible for managing data pipelines, cloud and on-prem environments, and automated processes to improve the efficiency, quality, and scalability of data-driven applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, integrate third-party data, and provide actionable insights to drive business decisions. The position requires hands-on technical leadership in data engineering, with a focus on high-throughput processing, robust data models, and maintaining best practices across the data lifecycle. You will also mentor team members, evaluate new technologies, and ensure alignment with strategic goals while supporting production environments and innovative proofs of concept. Accountabilities · Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines, storage solutions, and ETL processes for AdTech and marketing data. · Build and manage cloud-based and on-prem environments, including containerized deployments and automation of manual processes. · Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to define data requirements, integrate APIs, and onboard third-party data. · Lead technical design and implementation of data models, ingestion pipelines, monitoring frameworks, and high-throughput processing. · Provide guidance, mentorship, and best practices to the team, ensuring data quality, availability, and computational efficiency. · Oversee project timelines, milestones, and quality assurance for solution implementations and production launches. · Present insights, opportunities, and recommendations to cross-functional teams, including senior leadership. · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field (Master’s or PhD with relevant experience also accepted). · 6+ years of experience in data engineering, programming with SQL, Python, R, or cloud database languages (AWS, Snowflake, Oracle, Microsoft DB). · Experience with cloud platforms, data warehousing, APIs, ETL, and data management platforms. · Expertise in data integration, third-party onboarding, AdTech solutions, and direct database synchronization. · Strong ability to manage external vendors, agency partners, and technology platforms. · Proficient in tag management systems, digital marketing data flows, and telecom-related API integration. · Excellent communication skills for conveying insights to cross-functional teams, including senior leadership. · Competitive base salary ($134,227 – $181,400) with potential incentive programs. · Flexible paid vacation, seven paid holidays, and up to 160 hours of paid wellness leave annually. · Additional paid time off including bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteer, military, and parental leave. · Comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, vision). · Retirement planning (401k) and access to professional development opportunities. · Collaborative, innovative, and growth-oriented work environment.
