The Instructional Designer - Math will play a critical role in designing and enhancing K-12 math curriculum, combining deep subject knowledge with innovative digital and AI-driven tools. This position involves creating high-quality, standards-aligned learning experiences for students while optimizing teacher-facing content for effectiveness and usability. The role offers the opportunity to lead AI integration within curriculum development, collaborate closely with content and engineering teams, and oversee the quality and alignment of supplemental materials across print, video, and digital formats. This is a high-impact role with direct influence on student learning and classroom experiences nationwide. \n Accountabilities: Manage the authoring and editing of digital math content, including oversight of external contractors and internal contributions. Develop and implement instructional and graphic design protocols for curriculum-aligned lessons. Author and edit supplemental resources such as videos, kits, and games to enhance learning experiences. Conduct quality assurance reviews of content produced by contractors and internal teams. Ensure math content aligns with state and national standards while maintaining student-centered learning experiences. Leverage AI tools to drive innovation in content creation, lesson design, and collaboration with engineering teams. Collaborate with managers and stakeholders to organize projects, meet deadlines, and adhere to specifications. Troubleshoot and refine processes as needed to maintain high-quality curriculum outputs. Requirements: 3+ years of K-12 math teaching experience in grades 6-12. 3+ years of instructional design experience, with a focus on math and technology integration. 1+ years of leading AI adoption within instructional design or curriculum development teams. Expertise with Illustrative Mathematics curriculum (development, teaching, or training experience). Strong creative problem-solving skills and the ability to leverage AI tools in content development. Passion for math education and improving student outcomes. Excellent collaboration, communication, and project management skills.
