This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Group Director, Paid Media Strategy in North Carolina. In this role, you will serve as a senior strategic leader driving integrated media strategy across high-profile clients. You will lead and mentor a team of strategists, shaping audience insights, media mixes, and full-funnel measurement strategies while partnering directly with executive stakeholders to solve complex business challenges. This position balances hands-on team leadership with executive-level client engagement, allowing you to influence revenue growth, team development, and organizational best practices. You will collaborate across departments to elevate strategic thinking, implement innovative approaches, and deliver measurable impact for clients. This high-autonomy role provides the opportunity to define strategic standards, own key accounts, and shape the future of media strategy within a fast-paced, remote-first environment. \n Accountabilities: Lead a pod of strategists, mentoring and coaching team members to achieve high performance and professional growth. Develop and execute cross-channel media strategies including TV, Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic (Display, Video, OTT, Audio, DOOH), ensuring alignment with client KPIs and business objectives. Partner with senior client stakeholders to advise on strategy, optimize campaigns, and present insights that drive business outcomes. Oversee creative strategy, audience targeting, and measurement frameworks for full-funnel campaigns. Collaborate with internal leaders on thought leadership, strategic innovation, and first-to-market pilots. Partner with department leadership on forecasting, budgeting, and resource planning to scale teams and capabilities. Drive cross-functional collaboration with analytics, account, and operations teams to deliver integrated, data-driven results. Requirements: 10+ years of experience in paid media advertising within an agency environment, with multi-channel expertise preferred (search, social, programmatic) and direct experience in ISP or similar verticals. 3+ years in a management or leadership role overseeing multiple clients and teams. Proven ability to develop, analyze, and present full-funnel campaigns for brand and performance objectives. Strong experience leading cross-channel client engagements and collaborating with multiple agency partners. Skilled in analytics, reporting, and leveraging AI tools to enhance workflows. Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Effective project and time management skills in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
