This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Full Stack Developer w/Ruby on Rails in the United States. We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer w/Ruby on Rails to work on end-to-end software solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment. This role involves modernizing multiple applications for a federal government client, contributing across the full technology stack, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. You will work with technologies such as React, Ruby, JavaScript, Java, Python, Typescript, and AWS to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable applications. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and is passionate about building impactful software. Accountabilities: The Full Stack Developer will be responsible for delivering robust, end-to-end solutions and supporting the development lifecycle from concept to production. Key responsibilities include: • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software applications. • Build and maintain full stack features, including both front-end and back-end components. • Develop new features using acceptance test-driven development and pair programming methodologies. • Ensure quality through automated unit, integration, functional, and UI tests. • Collaborate with small, cross-functional feature teams to deliver end-to-end customer solutions. • Develop and maintain API specifications and microservices using AWS cloud and open-source technologies. • Participate in product strategy, design, and development activities using lean and agile methodologies. Requirements: • 2-4 years of relevant professional experience in full stack development. • Proficiency with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React) and back-end technologies (Ruby, Java, Python). • Experience with databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL. • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails. • Experience with Git-based repositories like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket. • Agile development experience and ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments. • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. • Intellectual curiosity and ability to learn new technologies quickly. • Preferred: experience with Java Spring Boot, Python Django, AWS cloud services, Cloud Foundry, and React.
