In this role, you will lead and mentor one or more software engineering teams, balancing technical guidance with people development. You will oversee the delivery of reliable, scalable software solutions while fostering a high-performing and inclusive culture. Collaborating closely with product, design, and cross-functional teams, you will ensure alignment on priorities, execution, and long-term technical strategy. Your leadership will help shape engineering practices, drive agile processes, and maintain high standards for code quality and system performance. Accountabilities: Manage the day-to-day operations of one or more software engineering teams, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. Collaborate with Product Management and Design to define requirements, scope, and timelines for platform features and improvements. Drive agile processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives, to maintain team focus and velocity. Establish goals, KPIs, and metrics to monitor progress, team impact, and software performance. Partner with Customer Success and Support to triage production issues and incorporate client feedback. Mentor and coach engineers at varying levels, fostering professional growth and autonomy. Participate in architectural discussions and long-term technical planning with senior engineering leadership. Contribute to hiring and onboarding initiatives while promoting a culture of ownership, experimentation, and accountability. 5+ years of experience actively managing software engineering teams. Proven track record of leading multiple teams in SaaS or startup environments from early-stage growth through scaling. Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and modern web service design. Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Design, QA, and DevOps teams. Demonstrated success delivering features that drive measurable business outcomes, such as user retention or system reliability. Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills. Hands-on technical background in languages such as Python, Node.js, or TypeScript is a plus. Experience building and managing remote or hybrid teams is desirable. Familiarity with data-driven decision-making, analytics tooling, or AI/ML-enabled SaaS products is a bonus. Competitive base salary: $160,000–$200,000 per year.
