This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Project Management based in United States. As Director, Project Management, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening and evolving an enterprise Project Management Office (PMO). You will lead teams responsible for project governance, training, documentation, and project management systems while advancing organizational effectiveness. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational improvement in a dynamic healthcare environment. You will partner with business and operational leaders to establish scalable standards, improve processes, and drive successful strategic initiatives. You will also develop high-performing teams, strengthen leadership capabilities, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. This is an opportunity to influence enterprise-wide transformation while helping modernize how complex projects are planned, governed, and delivered. \n Accountabilities Lead and develop teams responsible for project management operations, training, process governance, and related PMO functions. Advance the maturity of PMO standards, methodologies, tools, governance frameworks, and project management best practices. Coach, mentor, and develop managers and team members while building strong leadership pipelines and succession plans. Partner with business and operational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement, operational efficiency, and organizational effectiveness. Support the implementation, optimization, and governance of project management systems, platforms, and technology-enabled workflows. Establish and maintain consistent project management frameworks, templates, reporting practices, documentation standards, and governance processes. Define metrics and accountability measures to evaluate team performance, project outcomes, operational effectiveness, and enterprise impact. Lead complex initiatives and manage competing priorities in a fast-moving and evolving environment. Collaborate across departments to support strategic business objectives and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. Drive change management and organizational transformation efforts, helping teams adopt new processes, technologies, and ways of working. Encourage the practical use of AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve project efficiency, quality, and business outcomes. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 5 years of progressive experience within a Project Management Office (PMO). Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams, managers, or cross-functional project resources. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, governance structures, operational processes, and change management principles. Proven track record of leading process improvement, organizational transformation, and operational effectiveness initiatives. Experience managing enterprise project portfolios and complex strategic initiatives is highly valuable. Strong strategic leadership and business acumen, combined with data-driven decision-making and analytical thinking. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, influencing, and relationship-building skills. Ability to lead effectively through organizational change while building trust and alignment across diverse teams. Strong coaching and talent-development capabilities, with a focus on developing future leaders and building high-performing teams. Demonstrated ability to use AI and emerging technologies to improve processes, automate workflows, increase efficiency, and enhance business outcomes. Comfortable experimenting with new technologies and helping teams adopt innovative solutions. Healthcare industry experience is preferred. PMP certification is preferred. Experience with Salesforce, Cloud Coach, PolicyTech, or comparable project and operational management platforms is a plus. CRCR certification is preferred, or willingness to obtain the certification after joining. Must reside in and be authorized to work within the United States. Must be willing and able to travel and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate locations as business needs require.
