The Director of Technology & Operations will serve as the operational and technical leader of a growing managed IT services organization. This role is responsible for defining technology strategy, optimizing service delivery, and leading a high-performing technical team to ensure client satisfaction and operational excellence. You will partner closely with executive leadership to translate business goals into actionable initiatives, oversee cybersecurity standards, and continuously improve processes. The position offers high autonomy, the ability to influence company direction, and the opportunity to shape a modern, security-focused IT services environment while fostering a culture of accountability, learning, and operational rigor. \n Accountabilities: Define and execute technology strategy aligned with business goals and cybersecurity best practices. Oversee core IT platforms, including Microsoft 365, security stacks, RMM, PSA, backups, and networking. Standardize and optimize service delivery processes, documentation, and recurring operational tasks. Lead, mentor, and develop technical teams, including hiring, performance reviews, and training initiatives. Ensure high-quality client service, manage escalations, and support key client relationships. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational maturity and efficiency. Monitor service quality metrics and SLAs, and coordinate resource planning and subcontractor management. Oversee administrative and financial operations related to billing, invoicing, and timesheet approvals. Requirements: 8–15 years of experience in IT, MSP, or technology services, with prior leadership experience in service-oriented organizations. Strong technical expertise in Microsoft ecosystems, cybersecurity, and modern IT stacks. Proven ability to scale teams, implement operational processes, and enhance service delivery standards. Strategic thinker with strong execution skills, able to operate as a trusted second-in-command to executive leadership. Calm under pressure, structured, process-driven, and capable of mentoring and developing team members. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience managing client-facing discussions and internal stakeholders.
