As a Director of Sales in Financial Services, you will lead business development efforts targeting hedge funds, mutual funds, and private equity clients, driving revenue growth through data-driven research and solutions. You will manage a dynamic sales pipeline, build and maintain senior-level client relationships, and contribute to the development of innovative products that address evolving market needs. The role requires a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset, combined with excellent execution skills, to influence key decision-makers and secure high-value opportunities. You will actively participate in client engagements, presentations, and negotiations, while mentoring your team to achieve ambitious sales targets. Manage the end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting and pipeline development to deal closure. Build and maintain high-level client relationships with hedge funds, mutual funds, and private equity firms. Gather market intelligence and provide insights to inform new product development. Deliver persuasive presentations and proposals, articulating the value of data-driven research and solutions. Track and report on sales performance, forecasts, and pipeline management. Mentor and guide team members to achieve consistent performance and goal attainment. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus. Minimum of 7+ years of experience selling data-driven research, products, or services to the buy-side investment community. Strong understanding of financial markets, investment research products, and relevant technologies. Proven success in consultative selling, business development, and strategic account management. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate at all organizational levels. Self-starter with high initiative, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
