Manage identity and access workflows: Establish and maintain joiner, mover, and leaver processes, ensuring appropriate access provisioning, role changes, and complete access revocation when employees leave the organization. Implement identity management solutions: Lead the deployment and administration of identity platforms, including single sign-on (SSO), automated provisioning, and user lifecycle management across portfolio companies. Maintain technology inventories: Build and manage a comprehensive inventory of software tools, user accounts, credentials, licenses, contracts, and renewal dates to improve visibility, strengthen security, and identify consolidation opportunities. Oversee managed service providers: Manage relationships with external IT service providers, monitor service-level agreements (SLAs), evaluate performance, negotiate contracts, coordinate renewals, and optimize licensing costs. Drive technology standardization: Develop practical IT policies, procedures, and operational standards that balance centralized governance with the unique requirements of individual portfolio companies. Build cross-portfolio integrations: Develop and maintain backend integrations that support a shared data platform, enabling more consistent information flows and better coordination across the portfolio. Assess and improve existing environments: Map undocumented systems, identify technical gaps and operational risks, and implement scalable solutions that improve reliability, security, and efficiency. Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with executive leadership, IT and security advisors, managed service providers, and business teams to align technology initiatives with acquisition strategies and organizational objectives. Support security and compliance: Strengthen access controls, account governance, and technology oversight while supporting the security and regulatory needs of businesses operating in different industries. Multi-company IT experience: Proven experience supporting multiple businesses, business units, or clients, ideally in environments with different technology stacks, operating models, and levels of IT maturity. Acquisition integration expertise: Demonstrated ability to lead IT activities from acquisition due diligence through post-close integration, including technology inventories, account setup, access mapping, and systems consolidation. Identity and access management: Strong knowledge of identity and access management platforms such as Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, or JumpCloud, including SSO, user provisioning, access controls, and lifecycle automation. Productivity and collaboration platforms: Experience administering and supporting Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 across users, devices, applications, and business environments. IT operations and systems administration: Solid understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, account management, software licensing, system integrations, and operational support processes. Vendor and contract management: Experience managing MSP relationships, negotiating vendor contracts, monitoring SLAs, overseeing renewals, and identifying opportunities to optimize technology spending. Process development: Ability to create clear, repeatable IT playbooks and operational workflows from scratch, document existing systems, and improve processes as organizational needs evolve. Security and access governance: Understanding of IT security best practices, access lifecycle management, credential oversight, offboarding controls, and risk mitigation across distributed environments. Stakeholder management: Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with executives, technical teams, external providers, and nontechnical stakeholders. Adaptability and problem-solving: A practical, hands-on approach to resolving complex IT challenges, prioritizing competing demands, and navigating both centralized and decentralized operating models. Preferred portfolio experience: Previous experience working for a holding company, private equity-backed organization, or multi-company portfolio operator is an advantage. Preferred regulated-industry experience: Familiarity with IT operations and security requirements in regulated sectors such as healthcare, financial services, or defense is beneficial. Leadership mindset: Ability to establish accountability, drive initiatives independently, and build scalable operational foundations in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
