This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director, Data Science and Insights in the United States. The Director, Data Science and Insights will lead the strategic application of data, analytics, and AI/ML initiatives to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and business innovation. This role oversees the development and deployment of predictive models, advanced analytics solutions, and automated reporting systems to inform decision-making across all business units. Acting as a bridge between technical teams and senior leadership, the position ensures insights are actionable and aligned with corporate objectives. The role involves managing a high-performing team, implementing data governance best practices, and staying ahead of emerging trends in data science and financial analytics. It is ideal for a leader passionate about leveraging data to create measurable business impact in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Accountabilities • Formulate, communicate, and execute the enterprise data and AI/ML strategy aligned with business goals and risk management standards. • Collaborate with business units to translate needs into analytical solutions and actionable insights. • Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced statistical and machine learning models. • Oversee the creation of automated reporting, dashboards, and analytics platforms to support strategic decision-making. • Ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency across systems and reporting platforms. • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and promote data governance best practices. • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and client-focused culture. • Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, prioritizing resources and communicating progress to senior leadership. • Guide technology selection, adoption, and implementation for analytics platforms and tools. • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD) preferred. • 8+ years of experience in data science and analytics, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or managerial role, preferably in banking or financial services. • Strong expertise in AI, machine learning, and statistical modeling. • Proficiency with analytics and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau). • Deep understanding of financial products, statements, regulatory environment, and banking KPIs. • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and business strategies. • Experience implementing data governance and ensuring regulatory compliance. • Competitive base salary and performance-based bonus opportunities. • Comprehensive Total Rewards package, including 401(k) match, profit sharing, and employee stock purchase plan. • Medical, dental, vision, and company-paid life and disability insurance. • Paid time off and wellness incentives. • Access to pre-tax health savings and flexible spending accounts. • Professional development and career growth opportunities. • Supportive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
