We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Data Scientist to join a fully remote team, applying data-driven insights to solve complex business challenges. In this role, you will work with large and diverse datasets, leveraging statistical analysis, machine learning, and AI techniques to develop predictive models and actionable solutions. Accountabilities Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to identify business problems and define data-driven solutions. Analyze large, complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights. Develop, implement, and optimize machine learning and AI models to improve business processes and outcomes. Build and maintain data pipelines to ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility for analytics and modeling. Create clear and compelling visualizations and reports to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences. Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data science, AI, and machine learning. Apply best practices for data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing to support accurate and reliable analyses. Contribute to moderate-to-complex projects involving predictive analytics, optimization, generative AI, or other advanced modeling initiatives. Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 2+ years of experience in building data science solutions or relevant professional experience without a degree. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, with familiarity in Java or Scala. Experience with statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn). Knowledge of data visualization tools to effectively communicate insights. Familiarity with cloud-based data science platforms and environments. Preferred: Experience in logistics, rail, shipping, airline, warehousing, or supply chain industries. Preferred: Experience with geospatial data, open-source libraries, and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe). Competitive salary range: $93,750 – $175,000, depending on level and experience.
