Full Description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Operations Lead based in the United States. The Data Operations Lead will oversee the end-to-end delivery, accuracy, and reliability of critical healthcare enrollment data operations. This role ensures that production data processes and exchanges run efficiently, securely, and in compliance with operational standards. Working closely with an offshore operations team, you will coordinate daily activities, manage escalations, and maintain consistent service quality across time zones. As the primary onshore point of contact, you will support internal and external customers while directly handling time-sensitive operational tasks during US business hours. You will also lead troubleshooting, strengthen standard operating procedures, and identify opportunities to improve workflows through automation. This is a hands-on individual contributor position requiring strong technical expertise, independent judgment, and the ability to lead through influence rather than direct management. The role is fully remote within the United States, with occasional after-hours support and participation in an on-call rotation. \n Accountabilities In this role, you will take ownership of enrollment data operations, ensuring reliable production execution, effective coordination between onshore and offshore teams, and continuous improvement. Your responsibilities will include: Oversee the timely, accurate, and compliant execution of all enrollment production data and data exchange processes, regardless of where the activities are performed. Execute and monitor operational activities requiring US business-hour coverage, including time-sensitive, client-facing, and production-dependent tasks. Coordinate with the offshore Data Operations Lead to align workloads, schedules, risks, and completion of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual activities. Serve as the primary escalation point for complex production issues, leading troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions. Develop, maintain, implement, and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational runbooks, ensuring offshore teams can execute processes independently. Review and validate critical processes and outputs, identify recurring quality issues, and coordinate remediation. Maintain a strong understanding of batch job design, scheduling, dependencies, and alerting for enrollment operations. Analyze batch failures and initiate or reorder jobs when operational circumstances require it. Lead outage resolution and post-maintenance validation following weekend patching and rollover activities, coordinating with IT, infrastructure, and external vendors. Communicate operational results, incidents, and issues to internal and external customers and management in accordance with established standards. Ensure effective shift handoffs between onshore and offshore teams, including clear communication of current status, outstanding issues, and pending actions. Provide technical guidance, coaching, and knowledge transfer to offshore Data Operations team members. Monitor and report operational metrics, service-level agreement (SLA) performance, and risks to the Data Operations Manager. Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support for scheduled activities and escalated production incidents. Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities. Contribute to cross-functional projects and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Make operational decisions during routine activities and incidents, including approving SOP changes and determining escalation paths within established management guidelines. Requirements The ideal candidate combines extensive production operations experience with advanced technical skills, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to coordinate effectively across geographically distributed teams. The following qualifications are expected: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Healthcare, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. At least 7 years of experience in a related field, including demonstrated ownership of production or operational processes. Experience in at least two of the following areas is preferred: healthcare operations, healthcare economics, healthcare policy, statistical modeling, business decision-making, analysis, or business management. Healthcare industry experience is highly preferred, particularly experience with healthcare claims or enrollment platforms. Previous experience working with offshore or globally distributed teams is strongly preferred. ITIL certification or progress toward relevant certification is highly desirable. Advanced SQL Server and Transact-SQL skills, including the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and guide others. Advanced expertise with job scheduling tools such as Control-M, including job monitoring, failure analysis, job ordering, schedule design, and dependency management. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and Control-M, with the flexibility to work across additional technologies. Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex issues and coordinate work asynchronously across time zones. Proven ability to lead through influence without direct authority and collaborate effectively with offshore leads and operational teams. Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and sound judgment when managing high-pressure production situations. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment. Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Flexibility to support activities outside standard business hours, participate in on-call rotations, and accommodate early or late meetings with offshore colleagues. Ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid environment across multiple time zones. Willingness to travel occasionally depending on business needs. Ability to complete a pre-employment criminal background check, if required. Benefits Annual base salary range of $120,000–$135,000 USD, depending on skills, experience, qualifications, education, and the level of the position. Full-time, permanent employment. Fully remote work arrangement within the United States. Opportunity to take ownership of critical healthcare data operations and contribute to the modernization of healthcare technology. Exposure to cross-functional collaboration and globally distributed operations teams. Opportunity to drive operational improvements, automation, and technical process development. \n How Jobgether works: We use an AI-powered matching process to ensure your application is reviewed quickly, objectively, and fairly against the role's core requirements.
