The Data Engineer III will design and implement scalable, low-latency data solutions, while ensuring resilience and high performance across distributed systems. Accountabilities Design, implement, and maintain low-latency, high-volume, and resilient data solutions. Architect scalable distributed systems and make trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns. Lead large cross-functional data projects and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions. Drive data governance and data democratization initiatives across the organization. Utilize Azure components such as Functions and Synapse to enhance data architecture and processes. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to ensure team adherence to coding standards, revision control, and documentation. Collaborate with product management and stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable solutions. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline. 7+ years of professional experience in software development, preferably in cloud-based or regulated environments. Strong programming skills in Python, Java, and Apache Spark. Experience managing Big Data distributed systems such as Hadoop or Spark. Proven ability to lead software development projects and deliver maintainable, high-quality solutions. Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. Experience mentoring junior engineers and providing technical leadership. Competitive annual salary: $141,462 – $185,000.
