This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Data Engineer (Cloud) in the United States. As a Cloud Data Engineer, you will design, implement, and optimize cloud-based solutions that support critical business operations in a highly regulated environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, clinical, and operational units to ensure cloud platforms meet service expectations, compliance requirements, and performance standards. This role offers the opportunity to work with both public and private cloud infrastructures, integrating cutting-edge technologies and automation to streamline operations. You will play a key part in evaluating new cloud platforms, managing lifecycle processes, and providing strategic guidance for cloud adoption. The position provides exposure to a diverse set of tools, programming languages, and deployment methodologies while contributing directly to the efficiency and reliability of enterprise cloud systems. Accountabilities Design, deploy, and maintain cloud solutions in alignment with compliance and business requirements. Collaborate with IT, finance, clinical, and operational teams to define cloud service expectations and strategies. Evaluate cloud applications, platforms, hardware, and software to identify optimal solutions. Develop and organize cloud systems, managing private, public, and hybrid cloud environments. Establish and maintain best practices for cloud operations, monitoring privacy, security, and technical issues. Implement automation strategies and mentor support teams to enhance operational efficiency. Manage cloud lifecycles, including VMWare, AWS, and Microsoft Azure environments. Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies, trends, and compliance requirements, and communicate operational strategies effectively. Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, Economics, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 3 years in an IT role, including experience as a cloud architect or cloud solution engineer. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate technical systems knowledge into business impact. Proficiency with cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and private cloud technologies. Experience with multiple programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, Java, Node, and object-oriented design principles. Knowledge of cloud architecture, deployment methodologies, data management, and service-level agreement compliance. Excellent collaboration, communication, and mentoring skills, with ability to guide non-technical stakeholders. Ability to identify automation opportunities and optimize cloud workflows.
