This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Data Engineer (client-facing) in the United States. This client-facing Data Engineer role offers the chance to guide organizations in unlocking the full potential of their data environments. You will design, implement, and optimize scalable data solutions including ETL pipelines, cloud data warehouses, and business intelligence systems. The role requires translating complex business objectives into technical strategies, collaborating with stakeholders across industries, and providing actionable insights. You will work with modern cloud ecosystems, ensure data reliability and performance, and mentor clients and team members on best practices. This position combines problem-solving, innovation, and hands-on engineering with strategic client advisory. Accountabilities: Guide clients on designing and optimizing their data environments to achieve operational efficiency and strategic goals. Develop scalable ETL pipelines, data models, and cloud data warehouse solutions. Implement and maintain business intelligence reporting tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI). Validate, test, and document client data models, transformations, and workflows. Teach and advise stakeholders, including developers, data architects, business users, and IT teams, on technical data modeling and engineering concepts. Collaborate with project management and sales teams to ensure deliverables meet client objectives and align with organizational priorities. Support ongoing maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of client data environments. 4–6 years of experience in data engineering or analytics, preferably in client-facing or consulting roles. Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and data pipeline tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Streamlit). Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud (BigQuery, Redshift), and Snowflake. Experience with business intelligence tools including Looker, Tableau, or Microsoft Power BI. Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and performance optimization. Familiarity with developer workflows and tools (e.g., Git/GitHub, command-line environments). Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research). Strong problem-solving, communication, and consultative skills. Preferred experience includes working in Media & Entertainment or Telecom, consulting/service organizations, and external client advisory roles.
